The concern of high infant and maternal mortality rate along with other endemic diseases like tuberculosis and malaria was causing a declining population and created a desperate need of quality healthcare. The Finchers discuss the hospitality shared among their Muslim neighbors while engaging them with stories of Jesus' love and kindness towards people, especially the character of His nature where His actions matched His words.
