Law School Life & Beyond Leadership Series - John Paul Rodrigues, Award-Winning Legal Instructor

<p>This week Katya Rowley is joined by John-Paul Rodrigues! J.P. is an award-winning legal instructor, and is the proud recipient of Career College Ontario's Excellence in Teaching Award and the Instructor of the Year at TriOS College’s Toronto Campus, in 2020.</p> <p>He is passionate about helping paralegal students accomplish their dreams and goals at a number of colleges, where he is focused on developing and nurturing future legal practitioners into becoming strong and successful advocates. He is also the Program Coordinator for the Paralegal Program at TriOS College's Toronto Campus. J.P. spent a number of years teaching law in China, where he was featured on Chinese television and in other media for his teaching abilities.</p> <p>J.P. is also an experienced lawyer, primarily advising clients who have been detained by the police on immigration and criminal charges, as telephone duty counsel. In this role, he has assisted thousands of individuals facing a wide range of charges, from impaired driving to murder.</p> <p>In this episode, J.P. discusses what drew him to a career in law, his law school experience, his legal professional journey and advice for future and current law students!</p>
