JTwJE Podcast: AGT Season 16 Special #10-Jimmie Herrod

America’s Got Talent (AGT): Season 16 is finally going live from the Dolby Theatre. Before he takes the Dolby Theatre stage, I had the chance to speak with Sofia Vergara’s Golden Buzzer act – the talented Jimmie Herrod.<br /><br />Jimmie is a Pacific Northwest-based artist and performer who splits his time between Portland, Oregon, and Paris, France. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in music composition and performance from the Cornish College of the Arts. He also received his Masters’ Degree in Jazz Studies from Portland State University.<br /><br />Jimmie Herrod worked in Seattle’s musical theater community, participating in productions with ArtsWest and the 5th Avenue Theater. He was also a featured soloist when the Oregon Symphony participated in the 2018 TedX series. In addition, Jimmie performed with ODESZA and is a regular guest vocalist for Pink Martini. He accompanied the group to tours across the United States, Canada, and around the world.<br /><br />In the tenth edition of Jake’s Take with Jacob Elyachar’s AGT: Season 16 podcast series, Jimmie spoke about his decision to go against Simon Cowell’s wishes to sing Annie’s iconic anthem: “Tomorrow,” and his reaction when Sofia Vergara pressed the life-changing Golden Buzzer.
