East Clare Councillor Emphasises Need For Large Housing Developments Outside Of Tulla

An East Clare Councillor is welcoming a proposed housing estate in Kilkishen, saying that development up to now has focused on the Tulla area. Sanford Properties Ltd. has submitted an application to Clare County Council to build a 61-unit housing development on the Tulla Road, in Teeronea, Kilkishen. The application seeks permission for a change of use, extension to and re-modelling of two existing derelict dwelling houses constructed on site - in order to establish a doctor's surgery including two apartments. Fine Gael Councillor from Bodyke, Joe Cooney, has been telling Clare FM's Rebecca O'Sullivan that these derelict buildings had previously been a target of anti-social behaviour.
