Democratic lawmakers inspect correctional facilities to guide legislative agenda

Julia Salazar (D-Brooklyn) is the new chair of the Senate’s Crime Victims, Crime and Correction Committee, and one of her first acts as Chair is to embark on a tour of detention and correctional facilities across the state. We talked with the Senator about her tour after her first visit this weekend.
