Cooler Wetter Week To End July; Warmer Drier Weekend; Return of 100-degree & Dry WX to Start August

<p>A weather pattern shift over the weekend has brought cooler more seasonal temps and rain to start the week.  Storms over the weekend and early this morning has us signing another tune to finish the month.  This week a ridge out west and trough over the Great Lakes and upper Midwest will put the Tri-state region in zonal or northwest flow that will bring daily chances for showers and storms with disturbances kicking out of the Rockies. The most organized are Tuesday night and early Thursday and will have heavy rain potential and severe weather.  The rain came at a good time to keep fall crops hanging in there and maturing and we should also see pastures, lawns, and gardens green-up a bit.  Daytime temps will be in the 80’s and at night around 60 and be more bearable than the record breaking 100-degrees heat we’ve been seeing thus far in July. </p>
