Clare Oireachtas Health Committee Member Says HSE Industrial Action Must Be Prevented At All Costs

A Clare member of the Oireachtas Health Committee says the planned industrial action by HSE administrative staff must be prevented at all costs. Members of the Fórsa trade union working within clerical positions of the healthcare body served their notice to engage in workplace action last night, in protest of the HSE's decision to freeze the recruitment of managerial staff in June. Forsa claim the directive will ultimately serve to deprive primary care centres and hospitals of essential support staff. Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway says strike action is undesirable for all parties involved.
