Briefly Cooler in the 40‘s Today; Warmer 50‘s & 60‘s Tue-Thu; Windy Cooler Christmas Eve; Mild & Dry Christmas Weekend

<p>Dry conditions continue this week with briefly cooler temperatures today with the Tri-state area under northwest flow as a trough kicks out of the southern Rockies and move through the southern Plains.  Highs today will be 10-15-degrees cooler in the middle 40’s.  Southwesterly flow returns overnight, and warmer temperatures move in with upper-level ridging tomorrow through Thursday.  Highs tomorrow climb into the mid 50’s then into the 60’s Wednesday and Thursday, while lows range from the lower 20’s to upper 20’s.  The next shortwave disturbance and dry cold front moves through on Christmas Eve Friday with gusty north winds and another briefly cooler day with highs dropping into the 40’s and lows into the teens. </p>
