70-degree WX This Week; Colder Over the Weekend & Next Week; Moisture Chances Hit & Miss & Light

<p>An upper-level ridge over the Western US moves east over the area on Thursday resulting in unseasonably warm and dry weather until Friday and over the weekend when the next upper-level trough and series of systems come over the Rockies and across the Plains.  Today and tomorrow down-slope westerly flow will keep warming daytime temps into the 70’s.  Thursday, a weak cool front backs into the high a bit, but we still warm in the upper 60’s with some high clouds.  Friday will warm to around 70-degrees ahead of the first low-pressure and cold front moving across the region late in the day and overnight.  The current computer model forecasted track of this disturbance would have the Tri-state area in the dry slot and snow chances just to our north and rain chances to the east Friday night and Saturday with colder temps. </p>
