1916: RJMEC meets First Vice President Machar over SPLM-IO’s boycott of the security mechanism meetings

<div>The interim chairperson of the Reconstituted Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission -RJMEC has held a meeting with first Vice President Dr. Riek Machar, focused on the reported clashes between SPLA-IO and SSPDF forces in the Upper Nile region.<br> <br> </div> <div>RJMEC interim chairperson, Charles Tai Gituai says the meeting with First Vice President follows the boycott of the security mechanisms meeting by the SPLM-IO on Friday. <br> <br> </div> <div>The party was protesting alleged attacks on its positions in the Upper Nile region.<br> <br> </div> <div>Gituai says despite the skirmishes in the Upper Nile region, the parties to the agreement are committed to finding a solution through peaceful means.<br> <br> </div> <div>He says RJMEC will continue engaging the parties in order find an amicable solution.<br> <br> </div>
