1778: Police apprehend man accused of murdering 7-year-old child in Northern Barh-el Ghazal

<div>Police in Aweil East County of Northern Bahr-el-Ghazal have arrested a man accused of murdering a 7-year-old boy in cold blood. <br> <br> </div> <div>The 30-year-old reportedly persuaded the child and his mother to follow him to a secluded area in Wanyjok town and attempted to kill them both. <br> <br> </div> <div>He allegedly used a knife to slit the child’s throat, but the mother managed to escape. <br> <br> </div> <div>Northern Bahr-el-Ghazal State Police Spokesperson Captain Guot Guot Akol, says investigators are working round the possibility that the accused acted under the influence of illegal drugs.<br> <br> </div>
