Minneapolis-based KAINA (now creating under her given name, Kandi Peterson) is a creative catalyst with a message of overcoming and hope. She says of her sound, "I don't try to sound like other artists and I don't try to be unique - I just want to represent what what's inside ME." This authenticity shines in her debut indie album "Rise" which found commercial success via various TV shows and ad campaigns, including spots on FOX, ESPN, and Amazon Prime.
