Why staying true to yourself is the best way to be, with The World of Windsurf Girls

<p>Super stoked to be joined by The World of Windsurf girls on the pod this week! </p><p>All competing in the IQ foil windsurfing class and fighting for a spot in the olympics, these girls have formed a team together to support each other. </p><p>We discussed why they went down this route, but this podcast is about much more than just windsurfing chat. We chatted about how they navigate being young women in sport, fitting a certain mould, both mentally and physically and why they're carving their own paths. </p><p>A big point of discussion was social medias role, after the girls went fairly viral posting a topless photo, only for there to be a fair bit of backlash from other female athletes within watersports. </p><p>We discussed staying in your lane, why the girls are speaking about so much more than just being a pro windsurfer, whether it's mental wellbeing, sexual wellbeing and a whole lot more. As a host this was a great, eye opening conversation to have with these 3 girls who whilst we do the same sport, they've had and are having a totally different experience. </p><p>As highlighted in my recent convo with @thecompassionateman, it's important to get other points of view.
