VOP 2022: June 9, 2022 Salt produces Sweet Savour “S-factor” The Secret of a triumphant and victorious life through Christ is to Serve as The “Salt and Light” of the world. This brings about a life of Sweet savour. Just as as salt gives taste to food, our lives as Salt can positively impact and influence lives to the praise and glory of God. We also live a favoured and flavoured or beautiful life when we allow the Light to shine in us and through us. We act as Salt by turning bitterness to sweetness through our good actions and character, hope to the hopeless and help to the helpless. Also as Light we brighten our world and bring hope to the discouraged through the demonstration of God’s power, wisdom and bearing the fruit of the Spirit. These attributes reflect in our way of life, actions and reactions to situation. Nugget: We must be Intentional about acting in ways that reaffirm our Kingdom role as Salt and Light of the earth. “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
