VOP 2021: November 14, 2021 Garment of Favour and Praise Our joy and peace comes from the divine presence of God and is demonstrated through our praise, singing and dancing. It is evident and visible to all. Just as our garment is used to identify us, we can choose to wear the garment of praise, which also attracts favour from God. David always praised God and he obtained favour and mercy from God, as he is remembered till date to be a man after God’s heart. He did not praise God only as a result of the Prayer: Father let your praises never depart from my lips and let your favour abound towards me in Jesus’ name, Amen “to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭61:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬. “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm‬ ‭34:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬. “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm‬ ‭16:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬.
