<p>In this live show, SWANA collective members Nyma Ardalan and Hamoud Salhi reviewing 2021 and look ahead for what we can expect in 2022 with a focus on Afghanistan, Yemen, and Northern Africa. In Afghanistan, U.S. President Biden’s decision to withdraw troops was catastrophic. More so, &nbsp;it came in contrast to his calls for global cooperation. Months ahead of that withdrawal, how has that decision affected Afghanistan and how does the region view the Biden administration?</p> <p>The Houthis in Yemen, who are in control of the capital Sanaa and major parts of Yemen's northern regions, have called-on the Saudi-led coalition &nbsp;backing the Yemeni government to agree to a dialogue that should take place under the auspices of the UN and with the participation of &nbsp;International partners. They stated that such a dialogue which they conditioned with a total lifting of the siege imposed on Yemen and with the withdrawal of all foreign troops, would pave the way for a cease-fire and for the setting-up of &nbsp;mechanisms towards a political and peaceful solution to the conflict.</p>
