Sgt Major Billy White (US Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps)

<p>Sgt Major Billy White is a world class fifer, who has made a name for himself as part of the US Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps. You will remember we had his colleague Mark Reilly on with us in Season 2, and where Mark focussed on drumming and the history and heritage of fife and drum, Billy very much focusses on the fife.</p><p>Billy started with the Williamsburg Corps and then graduated High School thinking that his fife and drum days were over - the opportunity to audition for the Old Guard was too good to turn down and the rest they say is history.</p><p>An accomplished fifer, arranger and composer Billy has recorded a project under the name Confluence and this features some of his original pieces that he has kindly allowed us to play on the episode as well.</p><p>Billy is looking forward to getting to Belfast to experience the 12th of July after reading all about it in my book Made to Parade.
