Seerah 16: The Second Pledge of Aqabah and efforts of the First Envoy of Islam

Mus’ab ibn ‘Umayr (ra) was sent to Madinah and cultivated it to become the first Islamic State within one year. Imagine, one Companion of the Messenger of Allah (saw) Mus’ab ibn ‘Umayr (ra), was enough to change Madinah and transform the existing thoughts and emotions within its society. The speaker explains in detail how the youth of today can benefit from understanding the mentality and personality of this great Envoy of Islam. Through the efforts of Mus'ab (ra) in the thirteenth year of the Prophethood, over seventy converts from Madinah came to perform the rituals of pilgrimage in Makkah. Shortly after arrival, they conducted clandestine contacts with the Prophet (saw) and agreed to meet him (saw) at Al-‘Aqabah secretly at night in days of Tashreeq.
