He’s played with everyone from Cannonball Adderley to Thelonious Monk to Roberta Flack and of course with Miles Davis. He was in Miles’ quintet in the mid-60s along with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Tony Williams - one of the greatest bands ever.
