Police arrest ‘masked man’ for raping neighbour’s wife in Adamawa

<p>The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 36-year-old man, Jaafar Adamu, for allegedly raping his neighbour’s wife in the Hong Local Government Area of the state.</p>, <p>The Adamawa Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya-Nguroje, who confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the suspect was arrested September 15.</p>, <p>According to the statement, the suspect who wore a face mask, raped the 23-year-old wife of his neighbour in Angwan Diocese Kala’a in Hong town.</p>, <p>However, after commiting the crime, the face mask fell off, and he was recognised by the victim.</p>, <p>The suspect escaped but was later apprehended.</p>, <p>The statement added that the Police are currently investigating the matter and the culprit, if found wanting, would be prosecuted.</p>
