Members of West Coast Surf Club Qualify for U16 World Surfing Championships

On Wednesday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Ollie O'Flaherty,Coach and Chairman of West Coast Surf Club and members of the West Coast Surf Club, James Clooney, competing in the boys u18s and Sadie Shaloo, competing in the u16s age catogory at the World's Surfing Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Six of the surfers belonging to the West Coast Surf Club have qualified for the U16 World Surfing Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ollie discussed what is involved in competing and what it takes to qualify. James highlighted his introduction to surfing in summer camps and his passion for the sport, while Sadie spoke about her surfing journey that started during the Covid-19 lockdown.
