Sinners are under the dominating influence of sin. Satan is the master and they are under his power. "The whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one" (1 John 5:19). They are enslaved to the devil because all have chosen to sin. Friends, we were all once there, but, glory be to God, when we heard the Gospel we said "YES" to it! Jesus the great Redeemer bought our freedom with His blood! He paid the ransom for our freedom from sin; and the ransom price He paid was His very own life upon the cross! He died for you and me! His shed blood has the power to free anyone from sin! In Christ, there is redemption -the ransom for your sin has been paid in full! Your entire debt of past sins are canceled - it was nailed to the cross! Once In Christ, you have the power to live a new spiritual and holy life -but you must abide in His Word! Maintaining faith in your freedom, will require constant reminders from God's Word that teaches you the truth about your freedom! We support our fellow "freedom brothers and sisters" in Christ because we help one another Stay Free from the bondage of sin! That's the real purpose of Hebrews 10:25! Jesus said it best, "If the Son has set you free, you are free indeed (see John 8:31-36)!
