Gospel of John 8:31-45 - Jesus calls His believers to abide in His Word - Prog 39

<p>Our study in the Gospel of John here on the Unchanging Word continues in chapter 8 beginning at verse 31.</p> <p>Our Lord in this passage speaks to those Jews who believed in Him. <br> He offers them deliverance from sin if they would abide in His Word. <br> If they will continue in His Word they will know the truth and the truth will set them free.</p> <p>How important is it to you and me that we stay in His Word? This is a mark of a true disciple.</p> <p>Dr. Mitchell will state that one's fellowship with the Lord <br> will diminish when we neglect the Word of God <br> even though we may not stop praying.</p> <p>It is so important to continue in God's Word day by day <br> asking the Lord to open one's heart to what He would say <br> in looking to Jesus the author and perfecter of faith.</p> <p>Let’s turn to John 8:31 and abide in Jesus’ word.
