<p>This episode of the Making After School Cool podcast is part two of a two-part series about the benefits of managing youth urban debate leagues. When you think of the types of students participating in debate tournaments, seldom do we think of low economic students living in an urban setting who will be the first in their families to go to college.  These students, in most cases, do not have access to extracurricular programs which improve academic outcomes for lower-income and/or minority secondary school students.
