Psychology student Adrian is thrown into the deep end when he meets his first client as a new counselor. Rory, who struggles with severe heliophobia, is uncooperative at best and intimidating at worst during their sessions. However, despite getting off to a rough start, Rory and Adrian feel an instant connection and neither of them can ignore the pull that drives their every encounter. But before long, Adrian is faced with the reality of living in Rory's eternal and suffocating darkness and whether or not he can be the one to guide him back towards the light...
