Enugu guber: Labour Party vows to appeal as tribunal upholds Mbah’s victory

<p>The Labour Party (LP) has reacted to the ruling of the Enugu Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.</p>, <p>The LP had raised issues of NYSC certificate forgery, over-voting and bypass of BVAS against the PDP candidate, Peter Mbah.</p>, <p>But the tribunal struck out the petitions and maintained that Mbah was duly elected.</p>, <p>However, LP said it will challenge the tribunal ruling at the Appeal Court.</p>, <p>According to the party, justice was miscarried at the tribunal, adding that the judgement cannot stand.</p>, <p>“We are worried about the level of degeneration in our judiciary where ridiculous rulings are frequently churned out from the hallowed temple of justice,” the party said in a statement signed by its National Chairman, Barr Julius Abure.</p>, <p>“Our case before the tribunal was a clear case of electoral robbery,” it said.</p>
