Clare Woman Will Represent Ireland In The Euroskills Competition In Poland

On Wednesday's Morning Focus, Alan Morrissey was joined by Willow Swire. Willow will represent Ireland in Craft Butchery in the upcoming EuroSkills Competition in Poland. EuroSkills 2023, which will be hosted on the Polish city Gdansk from the 5th to the 9th of September, is the eight edition of the biennial EuroSkills Competition. The EuroSkills Competition is the biggest vocational education and skills excellence event on the continent. Willow discussed how she was introduced into the craft of butchering and also highlighted the experience she has in the trade. Her skills were recognised when she competed in the WorldSkills last year and as a result, Willow was invited to compete in this years EuroSkills.
