Description
A Clare Independent TD has hit out at the government for 'dragging its wheels' when it comes to tackling the driving test backlog. The average wait for a test date in the county now stands at over nineteen weeks, while the next available appointment in Kilrush is not until March 31st next year. The Road Safety Authority is currently processing over 3,500 applications per week which is an increase of 28% on the demand at this point of 2021. However, Kilrush Deputy Violet Anne Wynne believes the RSA is not dealing with the situation efficiently.
