Cassandra Kane - Founder of Sieme Brand & Outerwear and Accessories Design Consultant

Cassandra Kane spent almost a decade designing luxury ready-to-wear, leather and fur, outerwear and eveningwear for brands in New York. Throughout these experiences, she worked closely with manufacturers and sample rooms, discovering a passion for creating directly in factories closest to the supply chain. In 2017 she relocated to Florence, Italy to learn the art of Italian handbags and continue developing her craft at the supply source. Through all of these experiences, Cassandra grappled with the realities of waste and exploitation within the fashion industry at every level, even in the luxury handbag industry. This realization inspired her to launch Sieme, (@wearesieme) a brand and platform founded to offset luxury production material waste and support local artisans and independent factories. Through a line of handcrafted luxury accessories created from local deadstock and material waste and exclusive digital sample sales with Italian based artisans, Sieme promotes sustainably made artisan Italian products to a global audience.
