Arvind served as the member of legislative assembly from Sangrur (2002-2007) and from Dhuri (2012-2015), and he has also served as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary. Arvind's business interests lie in the arms industry and the defence sector. Arvind's NGO Umeed, is one of the largest NGOs in Punjab.&nbsp;</p>
