<p>This week&apos;s episode of Afrika in Focus look at the life and legacy of the Great Patrice Lumumba.  <br/><br/>17 January is the 62nd year of the assassination that is often referred to in Pan African circles as the greatest assassination of the 20th century and along with the removal of Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana was the assassination that damaged the soul of Africa.</p><p>We give an insight into .how the Congo became an important part of the Afrikan real estate in the aftermath of the Congress of Berlin in 1884/1885  when the Congo was &apos;given&apos; to the wicked King Leopold II and then subsequently, the Belgian State.  <br/><br/>We explain how important the Congo is to the World Economic Order stating that The Congo has more than US$24,000,000,000,000 (24 Trillion USD) in untapped mineral reserves and is responsible for the electric cars, LED TV, LED Fridge, LED lights, Laptops, I-phones, Smartphones and the like.</p><p>We explain the vicious brutality that the Congolese people went through as a result of the tyranny and terrorism of King Léopold II and the Belgian State.  <br/><br/>It is said that King Leopold II was responsible for the deaths of more than 10 Million Congolese people.<br/><br/>We  also explain how this brutality led to the rise and emergence of nationalist movements of which Patrice Lumumba became prominent.</p><p>We also explain the circumstances that led to Lumumba becoming the first Prime Minister of the Congo and how his Pan African and Nationalist credentials posed a serious threat to US and Western geo-political economic interests.  </p><p>We inform how the West , the United States in particular, hatched a plan to eliminate Lumumba and how this has contributed to the instability the DR Congo suffers from today.<br/><br/>Lumumba was viciously murdered along with two of his trusted ministers, <b> Joseph Okito and Maurice Mpolo</b>.</p><p>We end by stating the tragedy of the Lumumba assassination has had on the fortunes of the Congo. <br/><br/> LONG LIVE LUMUMBA, LONG LIVE THE CONGO,
