<p>In this episode of The EdUp Experience, Joe and Liz talk with <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/robert-morse-8377407b/">Robert Morse</a>, Chief Data Strategist with <a href="https://www.usnews.com/">US News &amp; World Report</a>. &nbsp;Bob talks to us about the data, data analysis, indicators, strategy, and reasons for the rankings and why it can be used as a decision point for parents and students looking to make a higher ed decision. &nbsp;However, rankings are not without controversy - so we ask questions about debt, inclusion, online education, and return-on-investment. &nbsp;Bob gives us his take on the controversy but solidifies his belief in his work and the value of the ratings in higher education. &nbsp;Do you agree or disagree with the validity of the rankings?</p> <p><strong>Robert Morse</strong> is the chief data strategist for U.S. News. He takes the lead role in survey design, ranking methodology and higher education research as well as monitoring data collection for all of the company’s academic rankings, including <a href="https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges">Best Colleges</a>, <a href="https://www.usnews.com/best-graduate-schools">Best Graduate Schools</a> and <a href="https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools">Best High Schools</a>, as well as <a href="https://www.usnews.com/education/best-global-universities">Best Global Universities</a> and <a href="https://www.usnews.com/education/online-education">Best Online Programs</a>.
