<p>Growing up Catholic, there were pictures of the &nbsp;Virgin Mary everywhere. I had bookmarks, and there were statues and &nbsp;pictures. We even had a fake “<em>Pieta</em>” — the classic Michelangelo &nbsp;sculpture of Mary holding the body of Jesus.
