<p>Hobsons Bay City Council is introducing a "more efficient, reliable and locally-focussed kerbside waste and recycling service is coming your way over summer [of 2019/2020]!"</p> <p><br></p> <p>The new service will include;</p> <p><br></p> <p>+ weekly food and garden waste collections</p> <p><br></p> <p>+ monthly glass recycling collections</p> <p><br></p> <p>+ fortnightly general waste collections</p> <p><br></p> <p>+ fortnightly paper, cardboard, metals and plastic recycling collections</p> <p><br></p> <p>The council says, "Following the recent closure of SKM Recycling, and strong community responses seeking to strengthen and improve recycling in the municipality, it is necessary and opportune to accelerate these plans to respond to the recycling crisis.
