1824: South Sudan drug and food control authority to clamp down on unauthorized importation of drugs

<div>The South Sudan drug and food control authority says it will start clamping down on unauthorized individuals involved in the importation of drugs. <br> <br> </div> <div>Secretary General for the authority Mawien Atem Mawien says the decision was reached after a public outcry that the malaria medicine was not effective.<br> <br> </div> <div>Dr. Mawien says the authority will inspect pharmacies, especially in Juba, and confiscate any malarial drugs brought in from uncertified sources.<br> <br> </div> <div>Dr. Mawien <br> <br> </div> <div>Dr. Mawien is further advising people to get malaria treatment from certified health facilities.<br> <br> </div>
