Warm & Breezy Ahead of Colder Weekend w/Some Light Rain or Snow; Dry & More Seasonal Mon-Wed Ahead of Next System on Thu

<p>The stalled front over the area yesterday that brought clouds, fog and cooler temps has lifted north of the Nebraska border overnight, thus today will be influence by southwesterly flow and the upper-level ridge that brought the warm temps this weak gets shoved eastward as a trough moves into the Rockies.  Today’s temps will warm into the 70’s with gusty southwest winds and ahead of a low-pressure system moving across the region overnight and into east-central NE tomorrow.  This track will have the Tri-state area in the dry slot and snow chances just to our north and west and rain chances to the north and east with cooler temps. Sunday and Monday a second system will move through the Southern Plains pulling colder air over the area, but heavier rain and snow activity stays south of us with some light snow chances in the early AM’s or few sprinkles of rain during the day.    </p>
