VOP 2022: February 14, 2022. Love not a cliche , but the Greatest Gift and Commandment “Agape Love” The Two Greatest Commandment are summarized and clearly stated as follows: Love the Lord our God and love our neighbours as ourselves. This implies that we must first love ourselves just as God loves us and thereafter share the same love with others related, connected or associated with us. Love must be shared in order for it to make a positive impact particularly on others’ lives. We cannot hoard or keep love to ourselves, but must be willing to share it. Even the love we have for God is actually proven or demonstrated by the love we show to others. How can we share or demonstrate Love? Love is not in words only, but in action and reactions. A kind heart, kind words or patience are some practical ways of showing love. The fruit of the Spirit are all all wrapped up or connected to love. No one has physically seen God, but we show our love for Him through our relationship or love for others who He also created. In God, we are all one, as we all came from same source and Maker of all. When we have this mindset, it will be easier to let go of offence and we will also have the desire to do good to one another, pray for one another, even to those we do not know. Nugget: True love is demonstrated by PRAYING for one another and not PREYING on each other.
