The mission of Saint John Bosco occurred after the Virgin Mary appeared to him and set in motion his lifelong work- better ways to teach young children.

<p class="MsoNormal">The mission of Saint John Bosco occurred to him after being slighted by a priest when just a boy. This angered him and he wanted to lash out.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">But the Virgin Mary came to him with the mission for his entire life.
