On today's show we talk with Capt. Jordan Todd of Saltwater Obsessions out of Port St Joe, FL. We talk about the impacts of the tide in the local fisheries. Jordan explains the differences in tides for Port St Joe & Apalachicola & they are remarkably different fisheries. We also talk about the change in the number of tides per day that take place in that area. You might wonder, why spend so much time talking about tidal movement? The reality is that in the dog days of summer (and apparently most of June this year), the moving water does more than give predatory fish an ambush opportunity. It actually cools and oxygenates the water, that gives the fish more energy to feed and kind of gets them going. Late summer is the time to understand how the tides effect your favorite fishery & your ability to catch fish there.
