NYCLU Reacts to Supreme Court Overturning NY Gun Law

In a 6 to 3 split decision, the United States Supreme Court has struck down a centuries old New York gun control law, holding that Americans have a right to carry a handgun outside the home for self-defense and that the New York law requiring a showing of special need for such a permit was too restrictive.
