Chris Holman catches back up with Carrie Rosingana, CEO, of CAMW! Capital Area Michigan Works! Lansing, MI, serving Ingham, Eaton, and Clinton Counties of Mid Michigan, for their June 2023 conversation. This month they're discussing Lansing Juneteenth / NAACP Lansing Branch Job and community resource fairs,... Carrie, tell us more about this! So they are running during the 30th annual Lansing Juneteenth Celebration of events? And this won't be at your headquarters, but rather on the road? With this format, does it expect to draw a different or bigger pool of candidates? What other resources will be available at the fair? I understand the entire Lansing Juneteenth Celebration is a rain-or-shine event, what are the details once again? Lansing Juneteenth/NAACP Lansing Branch Job and Community Resource Fairs Date: Sat., June 17, 2023 Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. job fair, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. resource fair Location: St. Joseph Park, 2125 W Hillsdale St, Lansing Event details: Flyer is also attached. CAMW! is a partner in this effort. This is the second time the Lansing Juneteenth Celebration is hosting a job fair component. Job fair employers are from a variety of industries. The job fair event is an opportunity for people to network with local organizations and learn more about available positions. As a part of the Juneteenth Celebration, the job fair is intended to be "come as you are." This is a casual event compared to a traditional job fair, so there’s no required dress code nor need to print out resume copies! The resource fair will include nonprofits and various community organizations.Learn about activities and help that is available right here in the greater Lansing area.
