Welcome to the International Mental Health Nursing Research Conference 2020, which in the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife is happening online as part of #mhTV through a collaboration between Unite/Mental Health Nurses Association, WeMHNurses, Mental Health Nurse Academics UK, and the Centre for Coproduction in Mental Health and Social Care in the Middlesex University School of Health and Education. Between Tuesday 15th September and Friday 25th September we will be running episodes that will feature evening panel discussions supplemented by presentations from each contributor that will be available to watch beforehand. Qualifying in 1987, Russell has worked in day hospitals, acute inpatient settings and the community. He has published research on; mental health legislation, nurses’ interpersonal skills, nurses’ relationship with the pharmaceutical industry, clinical supervision, and nurses’ experiences of stalking. He is a member of the editorial board of the British Journal of Mental Health Nursing, Journal of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and Mental Health Practice. Russell will deliver the Skellern Lecturer 2020, titled: The Fall of Icarus: The Trials and Tribulations of the ‘Informal Patient’ in the 21st Century (which you can book to attend via: http://mhna.eventbrite.com).
