There were and are real disparities and fears around not having economic resources within BIPOC communities. What type of behaviors blossom out of such hardships? My Ancestors, were often times forced to sneak food to feed themselves or their family. Sometimes they wouldn't have enough to eat and would hide food or having an unhealthy relationship with food. What about the harsh punishments for stealing food as a slave?Fear around money and not having the means to live a full life has been in our experiences and the experiences of our ancestors. This is a call to action to heal from these wounds. The answers are your ancestors. Listen to their stories. You will find that in them is you.
