<p>“At some point, we need to stop following the rules and the externally set path and say what’s important to me and ask ourselves the really simple questions what do I love to do, what gives me energy, what do I get excited about, if I’m not moving in that direction, why not?” Kelly Hearn told me on Episode 36 of the Reframe & Reset Your Career podcast.</p> <p>Kelly spent the first two decades of her professional life in the left-brain world of finance. After completing an MBA at Columbia Business School in New York, she moved to London to help establish one US investment fund, and then another, in Europe.</p> <p>At some point along the way, Kelly turned her analytical focus away from spreadsheets and annual reports to the existential questions of everyday life.</p> <p>Kelly spent two years pursuing writing as a means for exploration while completing an MA in Creative Non-Fiction Writing at City University, London. She then trained at the Centre for Counselling & Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in London.</p> <p>A registered member of the BACP and UKCP, Kelly has wide experience working with individual, couple and corporate clients within the NHS, private practice and at The School of Life.
