THIS WEEK’S TOPIC: The POWER OF PURPOSE and STORY to fuel your INFLUENCE! This week, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’m sharing a refreshed, encore episode that I recorded in 2019 with Ambassador Nancy Brinker, the undisputed leader in the global fight against breast cancer. With a vow to her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, Nancy started a movement that brought the term “breast cancer” out of the shadows and ultimately changed the way we think and talk about that and other diseases today. There are many dimensions and lessons in Nancy’s inspiring story, here are some KEY TOPICS from this episode that I think you’ll really appreciate: How to HARNESS your AUTHENTIC STORY. Why STORY is a SUPERPOWER of INFLUENCE. Why being grounded with a PURPOSE, PASSION & CURIOSITY can help you DEFY YOUR CRITICS, and even your own expectations. How REFRAMING and shifting your MINDSET about problems can encourage INNOVATION and can lead to better solutions. Why “no” often isn’t the final answer, and how to seize the moment. How ONE PERSON with a dream really CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. ABOUT THIS WEEK’S GUEST: Nancy Brinker may be most well known as the leader of the global breast cancer movement and as the founder of The Susan G. Komen Foundation but, her impact hasn’t stopped there. In addition to her undisputed success in revolutionizing fundraising and lobbying for legislation on behalf of breast cancer research, she’s also served as the US Ambassador to Hungary and Chief of Protocol of the United States. She’s currently the World Health Organization’s Goodwill Ambassador for Cancer Control, all the while leading the Promise Fund of Florida, which she founded to fill in the gaps for healthcare access among those fighting late-stage breast and cervical cancer. Because of her unwavering commitment and advocacy, she’s been named one of TIME magazine’s “100 Most Influential People,” received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and written a New York Times best-selling book
