Having a little fun remembering Aretha Franklin. "I Say A Little Prayer" is today's song. A song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David for Dionne Warwick.<br /><br />You know Aretha Franklin was a singer, songwriter, actress, pianist, and civil rights activist. Franklin began her career as a child singing gospel at New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan, where her father C.L. Franklin was a minister. <br /><br />Aretha is known for gospel mixing it with the mainstream of pop and R&B. She said, " Well it was just natural for me coming from the church."<br /><br />I have to agree with that. Though she sang gospel, I can tell no matter what kind of song she sang. When Aretha sang "I Say A Little Prayer", I knew it was a love song but hidden was the church, and Aretha sang like she was in church. <br /><br />If Aretha is in heaven, her soul is with the saints now. She left us on August 16, 2018. I can hear her in my mind how she would sing "I Say A Little Prayer" today. <br /><br />Actress: Don't you worry about me. Just keep on singing.
