We went our separate ways after being honorably discharged; but, because the world is small and the Internet is large Gene found me and we’ve become fast friends.</p><p>He reminded me the other day: "<i>Before you can fly, you have to be willing to jump from a high place</i>."</p><p>Which, in turn, reminded me of a much loved song: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6bZ37nexSY" target="_blank">The Cape by Guy Clark</a>.
