Running Over Rooftops

Alt/garage/punk outfit Running Over Rooftops creates tight, tough original music that draws equally from vintage pre-war blues and modern garage rock. Based in Sydney, Australia, the group is really the solo project of multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Sam Aylward, who handles all of the vocal, guitar, bass, sampling, synthesizer, and programming work. Running Over Rooftops’ upcoming album How to Get Happy and Other Impossible Things drops March 1st, 2021 and represents the highest evolution to date of Aylward’s unique creative vision. He veers from heavy rock beats and fuzzed-out guitars to atmospheric psychedelic mellowness and back again with the practiced ease.
