Trump's RNC Speech, The Left's Scientific Ignorance, "Bail Reform", and the Overcharge of Rittenhouse

They forget that the state wants to live at the expense of everyone."  - Frederick Bastiat</p> <p>President Trump said a lot of the right things in his RNC speech.  Civilization vs. Anarchy is powerful framing for the election and is by no means baseless.</p> <p>A writer for the New York Times describes race as "biological fiction."  This is a more obviously unscientific assertion than anything any rightwing congressman or President has ever said.</p> <p>GK Chesterton told us to not take down a fence until we know why it was erected.  The left do not -- and have never -- taken that advice.  The latest fence we removed is bail.</p> <p>I discuss the Kenosha DA Mike Gravely, who as far as I can tell has ludicrously overcharged Kyle Rittenhouse.  To put expediency above principle is to betray your profession.</p> <p>"[Socialists and anarchists] are the stench today in the nostrils of all honest men and women.
