Spring 2022: Session 211 (Are You Choosing Your Life? with Dr. Eve)

<p>“You are the sum of all your choices.” The first time I heard this statement all those many years ago, it didn’t sit well with me. I felt like, as a first-gen, life just happens to you, and there’s nothing you can do about it. But now that I think of it, I realize just how accurate the statement actually is. First, I am where I am today not because of the family I was born in, nor is it because of the friends around me every day. I am where I am because of all the choices I’ve made in life, both the good and the bad.&nbsp;</p><p>So, whenever things don’t go your way, do not look on the outside; revisit the choices you made on the inside. Always celebrate the good choices and resist the temptation to be too hard on yourself for the bad ones. I believe that life is only as beautiful as how you choose to make it.
